Notification : Updates to Login Credentials on Centralized EPR Portal for Plastic Packaging

The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has noted changes in the login details (email and/or mobile number) of numerous user accounts registered on the Centralized Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Portal for Plastic Packaging from December 2023 to March 2024.

Main Highlights of the Notification:

1. User Verification Requested: Users whose credentials were altered were asked to verify if these changes were authorized by them. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and relevant State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs)/Pollution Control Committees (PCCs) communicated through emails, phone calls, and SMS.

2. Pending Replies: It has been noted that several users, including registered Producers, Importers, Brand Owners (PIBOs), and Plastic Waste Processors (PWPs), have not yet replied to the communications sent by CPCB/SPCB/PCC. A list of these users is appended to this notice for reference (Annexure 1).

3. Action Needed: All concerned PIBOs and PWPs are requested to provide their response via email using their registered email ID within 7 days from the date of this notice.

4. Implications of Non-Compliance: Please be aware that failure to respond within the specified timeframe may lead CPCB to take necessary actions, potentially including the cancellation of registration granted to the accounts on the EPR portal.
