The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has released an extension order named the "Cross Recessed Screws (Quality Control) Order, 2024."

This order will take effect six months from its publication in the Official Gazette.

Products categorized as Cross Recessed Screws must comply with the Indian Standard IS 18471 (Part 3) :2023/ ISO 15483:1999 (Fasteners - Cross Recessed Drilling Screws with Tapping Screw Thread Part 3 Raised Countersunk Head). They are required to display the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

This order excludes goods or articles intended for export.

For micro-enterprises, as outlined in clauses (h) and (m) of section 2 of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 (27 of 2006), the effective date is twelve months from the date of publication. For small enterprises, as defined in the same act, the effective date is nine months from the date of publication.
