The Central Government's Directive
Acknowledging the significance of upholding high standards in the manufacturing and distribution of aluminum alloy ingots for bearings, the Central Government has taken a crucial measure. It has stipulated that these products must adhere to the relevant Indian Standard outlined in IS 6754:1972.
Under this updated regulation, aluminum alloy ingots for bearings meeting the specified Indian Standard will be eligible to display the Standard Mark. However, securing this authorization will necessitate manufacturers to acquire a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, following Scheme-1 of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
