In today's competitive landscape, maintaining market presence without a certified, high-quality product can be challenging. Obtaining a BIS license may also be essential for selling products in the Indian market. To achieve BIS certification and ensure product quality, manufacturers must adhere to the specified Indian standards.
Let's delve deeper into at IS 15573:2018 for Polyaluminium Chloride.
IS 15573:2018 addresses Polyaluminium chloride. This Indian standard was embraced by the Bureau of Indian Standards following approval of the draft by the chemical division council, as finalized by the water quality sectional committee.
IS 15573:2018 pertains to Polyaluminium chloride. The Bureau of Indian Standards adopted this Indian standard subsequent to approval of the draft by the chemical division council and finalization by the water quality sectional committee.
The material must exist in either liquid or powder form, with two distinct types available:
Medium basicity
High basicity. Both grades are effective coagulants for the treatment of low to high turbidity surface raw water for drinking purposes.
Polyaluminium chloride must be either a colorless to pale yellow liquid, appearing hazy to transparent, devoid of organic contaminants. Alternatively, the powder form should exhibit a pale yellow hue and be free from organic impurities. Additionally, the material must adhere to the standard's specified criteria.
The subsequent test must be conducted for Poly Aluminium Chloride.

Packaging and labeling procedures must align with IS 15573:2018 guidelines. Liquid Polyaluminium chloride should be packaged or transported in tankers lined with acid-resistant rubber or plastic. Each container must be labeled according to the standard's specifications. The ISI Mark (Standard Mark) should be affixed to every container of Polyaluminium chloride, provided the material meets all specification requirements. Manufacturers are required to obtain a BIS license from the Bureau of Indian Standards to utilize the standard mark (ISI Mark), which is granted following a thorough evaluation of manufacturing infrastructure, quality control measures, testing capabilities, and production processes.
Acquiring a BIS license requires a comprehensive review of manufacturing infrastructure, quality control abilities, testing resources, and production procedures. This thorough assessment guarantees that products not only adhere to regulations but also prioritize consumer safety and reliability.
