New Update on ILAC Test Report Acceptance under MTCTE

The Department of Telecommunications has announced a significant notification regarding the acceptance of ILAC test reports within the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) framework. This update is essential for manufacturers and stakeholders in the telecom industry.

Key Highlights

1. Acceptance Period: ILAC test reports from non-border sharing countries will be accepted until December 31, 2024, providing manufacturers with a temporary window to use these reports for compliance with MTCTE requirements.

2. Applicable Products: This acceptance applies to the following products, categorized by their notified phases:

   • Base Station for Cellular Network (up to 4G) - Phase III

   • SIM - Phase IV

   • VHF UHF Radio Equipment System - Phase IV

   • Base Station for Cellular Network for 5G - Phase V

   • E-band Fixed Radio Relay Systems - Phase V

    

3. Validity of Test Reports: ILAC test reports must be no older than two years from the submission date on the MTCTE Portal to ensure the data remains relevant and current.

4. Modification to Previous Notification: This announcement partially modifies the earlier notification (No. 5-2/2024-TC/TEC dated July 1, 2024) concerning the acceptance of test reports.
