Moreover, PPC increases the longevity of structures and boosts concrete strength over time by enhancing corrosion resistance and impermeability. Additionally, it safeguards against alkali-aggregate reaction in concrete.

The manufacturer is required to demonstrate compliance with this standard for Portland Pozzolana Cement - Calcined clay based. The BIS Standard Mark (ISI Mark) must be visibly displayed on each bag or drum, or on the label affixed to it, provided that the contents meet the specified requirements. Marking procedures must adhere to IS 1489 (Part 2). Additionally, manufacturers need a BIS license from the Bureau of Indian Standards to use the standard mark (ISI Mark). This license is granted following a successful assessment of manufacturing infrastructure, quality control measures, testing capabilities, and production processes.
