BIS Quality Control Amendment Order for the Pyridine

OVERVIEW

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued the Pyridine (Quality Control) Amendment Order for 2024.

Starting March 13, 2025, this order is applicable to Pyridine goods or articles, except those designated for export.

Products or items containing Pyridine must conform to Indian Standard IS 8058:2018 and display the Standard Mark obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, in accordance with Scheme-I as outlined in Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

The Bureau of Indian Standards is appointed as the certifying and enforcing authority for the goods or articles specified in this order.

Any person found violating the provisions of this order may face penalties under the applicable Act.
