Important update concerning the Indian Standard applicable to current License holders, new applicants, manufacturers, importers, and product sellers: Quality Control Amendment Order 2024 for the Beta Picoline (Quality Control) Order of 2020.

BIS Quality Control Amendment Order for the Beta Picoline

OVERVIEW

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has released the Amendment Order for the Beta Picoline (Quality Control) Order of 2025. It shall come into force on the March 13, 2026

This order pertains to products or items containing Beta Picoline. It's crucial to highlight that this directive excludes products or items intended for export from its provisions.

Products or items containing Beta Picoline must comply with Indian Standard IS 16112:2013 and display the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

The Bureau of Indian Standards is appointed as the certifying and regulatory authority for the products or items specified in this order.
