The National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS) has announced a downward revision of fees under the Communication Security Certification Scheme (CSCS) as part of ongoing measures to promote ease of doing business.

• Effective Date: 1st August 2025

• Revised Security Test Report Evaluation Fees:

  • Group A Equipment: ₹10,000

  • Group B Equipment: ₹20,000

  • Group C Equipment: ₹30,000

  • Group D Equipment: ₹50,000

   

• Exemption: Government R&D institutes such as C-DOT, C-DAC, etc. are fully exempted from the above fees for product certification until 31st March 2028.

• For Telecom Companies: Lower certification fees will reduce compliance costs, enabling faster and more cost-effective certification of telecommunication equipment.

• For Startups & MSMEs: The revised structure encourages smaller players to enter the telecom equipment market with affordable certification pathways.

• For Government R&D Institutes: Full fee exemption until 2028 promotes innovation and supports indigenous development of secure telecom products.

• Overall: The move aligns with the government’s vision to enhance ease of doing business and strengthen India’s secure telecom ecosystem.
