Acceptance of ILAC Test Reports under MTCTE Scheme Extended to June 2025

The Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, has issued an update on the acceptance of ILAC-accredited test reports under the MTCTE (Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment) scheme. 1. Acceptance of ILAC Test Reports:

ILAC-accredited test reports from laboratories in non-border sharing countries are now acceptable until June 30, 2025, for specific telecom equipment, including:

• Base Station for Cellular Networks (up to 4G)

• Subscriber Identity Modules (SIM)

• VHF/UHF Radio Equipment Systems

• Base Station for Cellular Networks (5G)

• E-band Fixed Radio Relay Systems

2.Report Validity Requirement: Test reports must not be older than two years when submitted on the MTCTE portal.

This extension simplifies certification for telecom equipment by allowing manufacturers to utilize ILAC-accredited test reports from eligible international laboratories. It provides:
