We are pleased to share that the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has introduced a new reimbursement scheme to support Start-ups and Telecom Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the telecom and ICT sectors. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden of testing and certification by offering reimbursements for expenses incurred at designated or NABL-accredited labs under both mandatory and voluntary certification schemes.
✅ Reimbursement Rates:
Start-ups: Up to 75% of testing & certification charges
Micro Enterprises: Up to 60% of testing & certification charges
Small Enterprises: Up to 50% of testing & certification charges
✅ Eligibility:The scheme applies to Start-ups and Telecom MSEs undergoing telecom testing and certification at:
Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC)
National Centre for Communication Security (NCCS)
NABL-accredited labs (if a TEC-designated lab is unavailable)
✅ Scheme Duration: The scheme will run for two years from its implementation date (March 5, 2025) or until the allocated fund of ₹25 crores is exhausted, whichever comes first.
✅ Implementing Agency: The Telecom Centres of Excellence (TCOE) will oversee implementation, with the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) serving as the nodal authority.
Starting March 10, 2025, applications for reimbursement can be submitted via the official portal: https://tec.gov.in/tcrs
This initiative is designed to promote business growth, boost consumer confidence, and drive the adoption of telecom products in domestic and international markets.
