Deadline Extended for Compulsory Registration of TVs Under IS 18112:2022

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has officially extended the implementation timeline for the Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021 (CRO), specifically related to television sets.

Originally set to take effect on April 26, 2025, the mandatory compliance with IS 18112:2022 for TV sets will now come into force on October 26, 2025. This extension comes in response to feedback from stakeholders and industry players requesting additional time for readiness.
