BIS (Quality Control) Amendment Order for the Aniline

OVERVIEW

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has announced the "Aniline Amendment Order (Quality Control) Order, 2019," set to come into effect on August 3, 2024.

Products categorized as Aniline must conform to Indian Standard 2833:2019 and display the Standard Mark. This mark is issued under a license by the Bureau of Indian Standards, in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

The Order excludes goods or articles meant for export, provided they meet the specifications demanded by the overseas purchaser.

The Bureau of Indian Standards is tasked with certifying and ensuring adherence to the Standard Mark for Aniline. Additionally, the District Industries Centre within the State Government's Department of Industries is authorized as an enforcement body.

The objective of this Quality Control Order is to guarantee that Aniline products adhere to recognized standards, promoting quality and safety throughout their manufacturing and distribution processes.
