The Ministry of Mines has released the "Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys Amendment Order, 2024 of (Quality Control) Order, 2023," set to take effect three months after its publication.

This directive is centered on guaranteeing the quality of aluminum alloy ingots for bearings, excluding items intended for export.

To adhere, these products must meet the Indian Standard IS 6754:1972 and display the Standard Mark. This mark can only be utilized under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, following Scheme-1 of Schedule-II to the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
