Important notice on the Indian Standard applicable to all current licence holders, new applicants, manufacturers, importers, and sellers of Aluminium Alloy Miscellaneous Products under the Quality Control Order, 2025.

OVERVIEW

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has blazoned a draft announcement for the Aluminium Alloy eclectic Products( Quality Control) Order, 2025. This order applies to particulars classified as aluminium amalgamation eclectic products, which must misbehave with the specifications set in Indian Standard IS 20471992, Aluminium Alloy Hardeners( Master Alloys). All similar goods must display the BIS Standard Mark, granted through a license issued by the Bureau of Indian norms( BIS) in line with Scheme – I of Schedule – II of the BIS( Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

perpetration deadlines:

General manufacturers( banning micro and small enterprises) 6 months from publication date
Small enterprises 9 months from publication date .
Micro enterprises 12 months from publication date Products made solely for import are pure.

The BIS will serve as the certifying and enforcement authority, and any breach of the order will affect in penalties under the Bureau of Indian norms Act, 2016.
