Key update regarding the Indian Standard applicable to current license holders, new applicants, manufacturers, importers, and product sellers for Hand Tool or Wrenches (Quality Control) Order, 2024.

OVERVIEW
This order pertains to Hand Tools and Wrenches, excluding any goods or articles produced domestically for export. To ensure quality compliance, all Hand Tools and Wrenches must meet the relevant Indian Standards as outlined below:
The products listed in the previous section must display the Standard Mark, obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, as detailed in Schedule-II, Scheme-I of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
The Bureau of Indian Standards is tasked with certifying and enforcing the quality standards for Hand Tools and Wrenches products. Violations of this order will result in penalties as outlined in the relevant Act. The Bureau of Indian Standards (Government of India) serves as the Implementation Authority for this Quality Control Order (QCO).
