The Ministry of Mines has released a draft notification for the Primary Lead (Quality Control) Order, 2024, set to take effect six months after its publication in the E-Gazette. Stakeholders are invited to provide comments within 60 days of the notification. Stay informed about this important regulatory update!

QCO WITHDRAWAL Order

Primary lead must adhere to Indian Standard IS 27:2023 and display the Standard Mark, obtained through a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. The BIS will act as the certifying and enforcing authority to ensure compliance with this order.
