Key update regarding the Indian Standard applicable to current license holders, new applicants, manufacturers, importers, and product sellers for Indutech (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
The Ministry of Textiles has released the Indutech (Quality Control) Order, 2024, which will take effect six months from its publication in the Official Gazette.
For Small and Micro Enterprises, as defined by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006, the Order will take effect nine months from the date of publication.
The Order applies to flat woven webbing slings made from man-made fibers for general use but does not apply to those intended for export.
These webbing slings must meet Indian Standard IS 15041:2001 and display the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, following Scheme-I of Schedule-II as specified in the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
The Bureau of Indian Standards will serve as the certifying and enforcement authority for these products.
